Our clients were looking for a complete re-design as their existing kitchen in their two storey detached property, was over 20 years old. They liked baking but had very little workspace , the oven was at an awkward height and they also wanted to connect the kitchen area to the dining space for entertaining. They also required a small unit to be used as a drinks cabinet but with the ability to display glasses (hence the reduced depth unit with glass units above at the end of the room).
We also suggested a tambour unit as the client uses a KitchenAid mixer and wanted to hide it when not in use. To make the design work within the kitchen we created a Tambour dresser which was only 400mm deep and fitted with LED lighting and a really useful double socket point at the rear. We also included two reduced depth base units at the rear of the peninsula unit and the 2 x 150 wide units either side of the hob are pull outs – our aim was to really maximise the space and ensure all the requirements of the brief were answered.
Our clients were delighted and they phoned as soon as it was finished to let us know! We are pleased to say that they have since come back to us for an extension to the rear of their house.
